We’ve launched our new Customer Dashboard. The new portal provides AARNet customers with improved visibility of their services, usage statistics and pricing.
The new dashboard was particularly needed to prepare for the migration of customer connections to the upgraded AARNet4 network core, which provides a greater range of network services, including Layer-2 and Layer-3 VPNs.
What you see now is the first release of the new Customer Dashboard, with additional reports and functionality being added in the coming months, based on customer input. Please let us know what you think.
One of the new features is a “speedo” showing how much of your Off-Net Subscription is being consumed, on a year-to-date basis. Because it calculates the percentage on a pro-rata basis (YTD Usage / YTD portion of Subscription), you can see how you are travelling at any point in time with having to do those calculations yourself.
The screenshot above shows an example of a customer who is sitting just comfortably under their subscription allowance and would expect to finish the year still under their allowance, even with the busy months of September and October still to come.
All Services now a have a unique Service ID. Currently, only your Internet (AARNet3 / AARNet4) services appear on the dashboard. Over time, the full range of services that you receive from AARNet will appear, from optical transmission services through to Zoom cloud conferencing.
You can also see the Contacts that the AARNet NOC will use to manage network incidents and keep you informed, plus who has Customer Dashboard access, so please check that your Contacts are up-to-date and advise the NOC if changes need to be made.
