CloudStor upgrade March 2015

AARNet is launching a new version of CloudStor on Friday 27 March, 2015

You asked and we listened. Our two popular services CloudStor (file sender) and Cloudstor+ (cloud storage) are merging into one easy-to-use application.

What’s New
  • CloudStor file sender and cloud storage in one application, accessible via https://cloudstor.aarnet.edu.au
  • Ability to access CloudStor file storage, CloudStor file sender and the AARNet Mirror from new and improved CloudStor web interface (see screenshot above).
  • Backend updated to OwnCloud7.
  • AARNet can set up groups with group storage quotas for research collaborations.
What to Expect
  • The new CloudStor (file sender and cloud storage) service will be accessible via https://cloudstor.aarnet.edu.au
  • https://cloudstor.aarnet.edu.au/plus will automatically be redirected to https://cloudstor.aarnet.edu.au
  • Users will still have the option of accessing CloudStor file sender directly via https://cloudstor.aarnet.edu.au/sender
  • Migration will be seamless for end users – existing files and data will be retained.
  • If you are using the OwnCloud app for syncing you will not have to make any changes
  • CloudStor and CloudStor+ services may be down for short periods from 12am to 3am (AEDT) Wednesday 25 March and 10pm (AEDT) Friday 27 March to 7am (AEDT) Saturday 28 March.
